- We sell exempt services and taxable products. Can one invoice handle both?
- Yes. Tax is applied per line with your own rate codes, so an exempt treatment and a taxable retail item sit on the same invoice with the right codes — and the sales tax report drills down to every line.
- Can each practitioner or location see its own numbers?
- Tag every transaction line with a class or location and the P&L rolls up by segment. Per-member access control decides who sees which sections of the books.
- Do you handle payroll for my staff?
- Not yet — native payroll is on our roadmap in every country, and we’d rather be upfront than overpromise. In the meantime run LineLedger for the books, sales tax, and reporting alongside the payroll processor you already use — Payworks, ADP, Ceridian/Dayforce, Wagepoint, Gusto, or another provider — and post each pay run as a journal entry.

- Nothing — LineLedger is free software under the GNU AGPLv3, with sales tax, inventory, and unlimited users included. Install it on a server you control and there is no subscription to manage.
